Jane W. McCabe, MS, OTR, CAPS

Jane McCabe is a licensed and certified Occupational Therapist with over 40 years of experience and a Master’s degree in OT.  After many years in southern California, she relocated to Georgetown, Texas in the greater Austin area in 2018. Since 2009, she has held the designation of Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders.  Jane also serves as a healthcare media consultant, contributing to articles published in print and online for sites such as WebMD.com, Health.com, EverydayHealth.com, and Arthritis Today magazine.

Jane's varied work settings have included world-renowned medical centers (UCLA and Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles), home health care, skilled nursing facilities, burn units, cardiac rehabilitation units, arthritis centers, an independent living center, adult day health centers, the Rebuilding Together program, and residential facilities serving clients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and medical complexities. 

One of Jane's specialties is performing in-home consultations to recommend safety equipment, daily living adaptations, and structural modifications that allow people to continue living in their homes as safely and independently as possible with respect to aging, illness and disability challenges.
